Mardi Gras, Italian style--- Carnavale 2012 in...
After a week of trying to recover from the exhaustion of our first 10 day break, we were all excited to go to Venice, Italy for the weekend to celebrate Carnavale! But first we had school (such a buzz kill) and we met our new teacher, Kent Nakamoto (head of the marketing department at VT) who was going to teach us Marketing Research for 3 weeks. We also had our first midterm on Thursday in the...
I AMsterdam
On Friday morning, we woke up at the crack of dawn in order to make our first train from London to Brussels. Unfortunately on our way to St. Pancras station we didn’t get to go to King’s Cross Station where the famous 9 ¾ platform is :( When we arrived in Brussels, I immediately started to smell something delicious next to our platform… I followed my nose and stumbled upon heaven… Belgium waffles....
I left my heart in London
No, I didn’t meet Prince Harry and fall in love (God, I wish… sorry Jacob), but I am in love with the city of London! It reminded me of New York City (which I’m obsessed with) except cleaner. All of the buildings and landscapes are beautiful and sooo ornate! On Monday night, we arrived in the fabulous town of London but we were so tired, we only managed to grab some Japanese food before calling it...

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya, Publin!
Finally our first 10 day break arrived! Yippee! Our first stop was Dublin, Ireland which I was SO excited about since it is one of my homelands! How our plans worked out, we ended up not leaving until Saturday morning, which actually worked out well because it gave us time to pack and hang out with Brinberg before he left for a couple weeks. So, like the classy people we are, we ended up hanging...
La bella città di FIRENZE! Ciaooooo! Part II
For our last full day, I made sure to get up bright and early so I could go shopping! Depending on how you look at it was very good or very, very bad… We went to the leather market near San Lorenzo Church and I picked up a couple presents for other people and for myself I casually got a leather jacket… good decision? Bad decision? My rationalization is = when in Italy! AND Florence has the...
La bella città di FIRENZE! Ciaooooo! Part I
After Munich, we really had NO IDEA what we were going to do the next weekend. We initially planned on going to Florence, Italy but then we found out that Italy was having a train/ public transportation strike from Thursday night until Friday night! Why? Who knows! What was my teacher’s answer? “Because they are Italians…” Hmpf. How insightful -___- So then we were all frantically trying to find...
Munich, Munich, Münchennn!!
I am so behind on this blog it’s insane! I’m sorry!! These past two weeks have gone by so fast and have been so busy! So let me start from where I left off…
After my wild weekend in Interlaken, I spent the next week trying to recover (physically and mentally). I was so exhausted from the trip, I tried to catch up on my sleep and help my body slowly recover from the bruises and scars that I had...

How to fall down the Swiss Alps…..
…. Night sledding…. That’s the answer. It has to be one of the most dangerous things I have ever done in my life, and I WOULD not recommend it to anyone… The day started out so promising when all of us got on a bus after school to head to Interlaken, Switzerland for the weekend. Interlaken is up in central Switzerland in the middle of the Swiss Alps. It has beautiful views and is well known for...
Sono Americana. Part IV.
These past two days (Jan 10 and 11) haven’t been anything too special. We all have to go to class (unfortunately) and usually the night time is filled with many of us hanging out in the common room trying to find a plug into the internet box so we don’t have to deal with the ever-so-annoying wifi! There is usually always mixture of planning, doing homework and just relaxing going on! On Tuesday,...
Sono Americana. Part III.
On Sunday (Jan 8)…. Our instructor (David Brinberg) told us we would be going on a walk around Lugano and it was little bit of a hike, but it wasn’t going to be aggressive…………. He must have a different definition of aggressive than I do because it was TORTURE! We walked up Monte San Salvatore (4 miles up, 4 miles down…..) and boy was it rough… and when I thought it was over, he...
Sono Americana. Part II.
On Saturday (Jan 7), after a restless night of sleeping and trying to force my body to get used to the time adjustment and jet lag, we woke up and spent the day walking around the beautiful town of Lugano. We got groceries (which are much more expensive here…. For example, a tube of Maybelline mascara is close to 18 Swiss francs! That is like $19-20!!) and we also ate at one of the small food...
Sono Americana.
After finally getting a little time to sit down and allow myself to figure out this whole blog situation, I am finally here to tell you all about my experiences so far!! Now, where do I begin? I am going to break this entry up with some pictures so I don’t totally kill you with words J After what seems like months of packing, and lots of yelling from my mom, I finally got my suitcases all packed...
